G.L.T.Lyons grew up spending summers on her grandparents’ southern farm, where she fell in love with the South and small towns. As a child, she dreamed of becoming the next great cartoonist, so she was always scribbling stories and drawing cartoons. She draws on these experiences as well as her love of mystery and fantasy for inspiration in her writing. She writes women's fiction and mystery under the pen name Gina Lea. Kirkus Reviews calls her first book, Defining Destiny, “an ideal, frothy beach book”. She is currently editing the second book in the Destinybay series, a traditional mystery, as well as publishing her first YA Fantasy novel, Lost Voyageur in Time, about a magical library and Paladin Knights, which combines magical realism, mystery, and time travel. She is currently writing the second book in the Emmaline O'Byrne and the Library of Hereafter series. Her short story The Windmill was included in the Triangle Sisters in Crime second anthology, Carolina Crimes 21 Tales of Need, Greed and Dirty Deeds. Her short Story ‘Sweet Dreams” was included in Triangle Sisters in Crime’s third anthology, Carolina Crimes: Rock, roll and Ruin. Gina Lea lives on the coast of North Carolina with her best critics, her husband and Peke Pug, Zuzu the Wonder Pug.
